Your body will also break down your bones to get at the calcium and other minerals stored in them. So, you must get enough calcium in your diet.

You need to get enough calories or your body will slow down your metabolism. It will become harder and harder for you to lose weight, because your metabolism is too slow. You cannot build muscle on a low calorie diet. You need an “adequate” number of calories.
